Ways On How To Manage Time At Work In Nigeria
There is a good chance that at some point in your life, you have taken a class on time management. To manage time at work, you have to really be disciplined and diligent at all times. You have to know that everything you ever learned about how to manage time is a complete waste of time because it doesn’t work.
You have to devote your time to learning what time is actually before you can even begin to manage time.
There are actually two types of time, clock time and real time. In the real-time, there are 60 seconds in a minute, 60 minutes in an hour, 24 hours in a day and 36 days in a year. Time passes equally when someone is 40 years, they are 40 years no more no less.
Time is all relative in real time. Time tends to move faster or slower depending on what you are doing. An hour at the department of motor vehicles can feel like ten years, yet our ten years old children seem to have grown up in just two hours.
You have to understand the time that actually describes the world which you really live, real-time or clock time.
Time management classes, gadgets, and systems always fail because they are designed to manage clock time and not real time. The clock time has little relevance to our daily lives. No one lives in or even have access to clock time. We all live in real time, a world where time flies when you are having fun, and drags when you are busy studying.
The good news about real time is that it is mental, that’s to say that it exists between our ears. With this knowledge about real time, you should remove any self-sabotage or self-limiting belief that you don’t have enough time or that today is not being the right time to start a business or manage your current business properly.
We can only spend our time in three ways; thoughts, conversations, and actions. Irrespective of the type of business you own, your work will be composed of those three items.
Being an entrepreneur, you may often be frequently interrupted or pulled in different directions. Knowing that you cannot eliminate interruptions, you sure have a say on how much time you will spend on them and how much time you will spend on the thoughts, conversations, and actions that will lead you to success.
